My mind is often a jumbled mess. I like having somewhere to put a thought quickly, without deciding where it belongs. An idea, a draft, a note I can discard when I'm done.

I liked [Antinote](https://antinote.io/) for that. But it couldn't sync with my Android phone, and I couldn't access my notes through the web. I wanted to reach them from anywhere, even when I didn't have my usual devices with me.

I still use [Memos](https://github.com/usememos/memos). It gives me a place for those notes, with web access and support for images and files. That's useful when I want to move something between devices, too. What I wanted was a client that felt quick on both my Mac and my phone.

So I built Memoize, a native Mac and Android client for Memos.

# Quick notes, wherever I am

On Mac, it looks like Antinote, but for Memos. On Android, it feels like Google Keep, with Markdown first.

# How I use it

Mostly for ideas and drafts. Things I want out of my head before I lose them, without turning every thought into a permanent document. Some notes are useful for a while. Others can go once they've served their purpose.

# Why Memoize

I liked the name because it sounded fast. Memoization reuses cached results to save time. That's the feeling I wanted: open it, get the thought down, and keep going.
